The Area and Its Housing
We run out of Austin, and the map below is every community we drive to, listed alphabetically so you can find yours. It's not a service list dressed up as neighborhoods - it's just the truth about how far the truck goes and what we find when we get there.
Across the 23 outlying communities in our service radius - from West Lake Hills four miles out to Briarcliff at nineteen - most of the housing stock went up between 1980 and 2014, with the bulk of it dating to the 1980s and 90s. That matters because doors and openers from that era share the same failure points: steel torsion springs rated for a lighter door than what got swapped in later, and chain-drive openers original to the house that are now three decades old and running on their last drive gear.
The closer-in spots - Tarrytown, Rosedale, University, Old West Austin, Zilker, Bouldin Creek, Mueller, East Austin, St. Johns, Allandale, Brentwood, Davenport Ranch, Barton Hills - sit inside a couple miles of downtown. We don't have build-year data for that group specifically, so we won't guess at it here. What we can tell you is the distance: all within four miles, which keeps drive time short no matter which side of the river you're on.

Who You Are Dealing With
We're based in Austin and we work the whole area described above - we don't have a branch office in West Lake Hills or a crew that lives in Manor, we drive to you from here. If a page or a search result implies otherwise for any town on this list, that's not us.
The households we work on skew owner-occupied: the service area counts 73,657 households and 41,792 owner-occupied houses, and most of our repair calls come from that second number - people who've owned the place long enough to know exactly when the door started sounding different. Median household income across the area sits at $121,750, which shows up less in what people can afford and more in what they ask for: quieter operation, matching hardware finishes, openers with battery backup rather than the cheapest unit on the shelf.
We don't push replacement when a repair holds up. A worn roller or a single broken spring on a door that's otherwise sound doesn't need a new door - it needs the one part that failed. We'll say so even when the upsell would be easier to sell.

What to expect
Frequently asked
Straight answers about garage door repair in Austin. Still unsure? Ask us directly.
How old is a typical garage door opener in this area?
Given that most housing here was built between 1980 and 2014 with a median around 1998, a lot of original openers are pushing twenty to thirty-plus years old. If yours has never been replaced, it's a reasonable age to expect a failure, and we'll tell you honestly whether a repair or full swap makes more sense.
Do you work outside central Austin?
We cover the wider Austin area, including neighborhoods and towns from close-in spots like Zilker and Mueller out to farther points like Steiner Ranch, Wells Branch, and Manchaca. If you're unsure whether your address is in range, just call and ask.
Why don't you list a flat repair price?
Because a snapped cable and a full spring and opener replacement cost very different amounts, and a single flat number would either overcharge simple jobs or undercharge big ones. We diagnose first, then quote the actual job, before any work starts.
Can you always fix an older door instead of replacing it?
Not always. On doors from the earlier end of the 1980-2014 building window, some panels and hardware are no longer made, and once a discontinued part is involved, replacing the whole door can end up cheaper and faster than chasing a match. We'll lay out both options honestly.
