Where We Work
Our office sits downtown, about a mile from Tarrytown and Rosedale, two miles from University and Old West Austin, and three miles from Zilker, Allandale, and Bouldin Creek. From there we range out to Mueller and East Austin, and further to West Lake Hills, Sunset Valley, and Barton Creek in the 4-to-7-mile ring.
On the outer edge of what we cover, we go as far as Steiner Ranch, Wells Branch, and Shady Hollow around 10 to 11 miles out, and out to Manchaca, Manor, and Bee Cave near 12 miles. Past that we still take calls in Bear Creek, Pflugerville, Brushy Creek, Creedmoor, Belterra, Jonestown, and Lago Vista, though drive time out there runs longer, which can affect how fast we get to you on a same-day call.
What We Actually Do
We work on torsion and extension springs, cables, rollers, tracks, and openers - the parts that actually break. Across the 73,657 households in this area, a lot of that work is on doors that came with houses built from 1980 through 2014, median right around 1998, which means aging steel rollers and openers hitting the end of their service life at the same time in a lot of neighborhoods.
Summers here run hot rather than brutally extreme, so we don't see the door-warping cold-climate failures some places deal with - heat mostly shows up as dried-out lubrication and opener circuit boards cooking in an unventilated garage. How old is a typical garage door opener in this area?

Why don't you list a flat repair price?
Because a snapped cable and a full spring and opener replacement cost very different amounts, and a single flat number would either overcharge simple jobs or undercharge big ones. We diagnose first, then quote the actual job, before any work starts.
Can you always fix an older door instead of replacing it?
Not always. On doors from the earlier end of the 1980-2014 building window, some panels and hardware are no longer made, and once a discontinued part is involved, replacing the whole door can end up cheaper and faster than chasing a match. We'll lay out both options honestly.
